Peavey's Log Furniture is "The Log Furniture Maker" for the State of Montana's 9 visitor centers throughout the state---- think about that ----there may be 2 dozen or more serious log furniture manufactures in Montana and Peavey's Log Furniture was chosen as the one that best represented the Montana look and lifestyle to the more than 250,000 people that visit these centers each year. We are honored and humbled but excited to show you why we were selected over all the others.
We don't work from blueprints or pre-set plans so if you want your dresser to be 2 inches taller and 4 inches narrower or if you want 3 smaller drawers across the top instead of 2 larger ones... no problem.
Many companies use a particular type of finish that they can spray on quickly, we brush on all of our finishes by hand and you can choose any type of finish or stain you like. When we use our water base finish, we sand by hand between each coat and the end result is a glass smooth finish that our customers love; no chance for slivers on these items

, we do
several judged shows each year and have been the subject of 3 featured articles in area newspapers this year alone.
All logs are hand peeled with a drawknife. We are very careful at this point to leave all of the natural marking on the wood. Many of our pieces feature amazing insect work just under the bark (note: no insects, just some trails they left behind).
Our metal inserts are hand made one at a time to fit any motif anyone might want. We have done western, lodge, wildlife, loons, fly-fishing, bird dogs scenes and much more. These are very nice accents when done with logs.
All our case goods, nightstands, dressers etc, feature at least one natural edge. This adds a lot of character and individuality to each piece.
